art at Occupy Montreal

24 October 2011 No Comment

“Occupons Montréal – Occupy Montreal” is a non-violent gathering of citizens. These citizens will assemble at Square-Victoria beginning on October 15th to express their disagreement with the direction taken by our financial and political institutions.

« Occupons Montréal – Occupy Montreal” will be an opportunity for all of us to participate in open discussions about the abuses perpetrated and encouraged by certain corporations and the financial system in general. It will also be an opportunity to show our support for the initiative taken by the “Occupy Wall Street” movement in New York City.

Even though “Occupons Montréal – Occupy Montreal” will be taking place here in Montreal, this unified message and movement will be manifested throughout major cities around the world starting October 15th, 2011.

We do not have any political affiliation and we have no established hierarchy within our movement. We are all equal and acting of our own volition. We invite all citizens to join this collective movement regardless of age, gender, race, religious belief and political affiliation.
We are here to defend and exercise our civil rights and duties as citizens.
Together, let’s take our country back: Occupy Montreal!
